Elena also likes Dinosaur's Binkit by Sandra Boynton. The "flaps" in this book are sturdy--some are even made out of cloth--so they're harder for little fingers to tear off. At bedtime, she points to the book and calls out "Saur! Saur! Saur!" (I guess that's how she hears the opening words, "Dinosaur, o dinosaur...")

Fun toddler books
At 19 months, Elena's favorite book is Whose Baby Am I? by John Butler. The pictures of baby animals and their parents are adorable, and Elena loves looking at the pictures. She's learning to match the animals with their mommies and daddies. I think she's learning animal names too!
